Hoshizaki URC-26J remote condenser unit for KM-2600SRJ3 crescent cuber icemaker

Product Description

The Hoshizaki URC-26J is the remote condenser specified for the KM-2600SRJ3 crescent cuber, Hoshizaki's largest modular ice machine. It is a low-profile, 115V unit that connects to the head using pre-charged refrigerant lines.

Matched to the KM-2600SRJ3

This condenser is rated for one head: the KM-2600SRJ3. Its 9 lb 11.2 oz R-404A charge is sized to that machine's capacity, and substituting a condenser rated for a different head will not deliver rated ice production. If the installation uses the Z-variant head, the URC-26JZ is the corresponding condenser.

115V Supply, Low Profile Cabinet

Unlike the SRK and SRC condensers, the URC-26J runs on single-phase 115V, hardwired at the site with four wire including ground. The cabinet is 46-3/8 inches wide but only 14-1/16 inches deep, so it takes a narrow footprint on a roof curb or wall mount. It is weather-resistant for outdoor siting.

Why Remote on a Machine This Size

A 2,600 lb/day crescent cuber rejects a very large amount of heat. Running it air-cooled would put all of that, plus the fan noise, into the room the machine occupies. On machines at this output, remote condensing is normally a design requirement rather than an option.
