The Hoshizaki URC-22FZ is a low-profile remote condenser that serves an unusually broad list of Hoshizaki heads — both KM-series crescent cubers and F-series flakers, in single and three-phase variants. It runs on 115V, which sets it apart from the SRK and SRC condensers that require 208-230V.

Wide Compatibility

Most remote condensers pair with one or two specific icemakers. The URC-22FZ is rated for a long list: KM-1601MRJZ, KM-1601MRJZ3, KM-1601SRJZ, KM-1601SRJZ3, KM-1900SRJZ, KM-1900SRJZ3, KM-2200SRJZ3, KMH-2100SRJZ, KMH-2100SRJZ3, F-2001MRJZ, F-2001MRJZ3 and F-2001MRJZ-C. That makes it the condenser to specify across a mixed fleet, and it simplifies spares for an operator running several of these heads.

115V Power

The unit takes single-phase 115V supply, hardwired on site with four wire including ground. Because it does not need a 208-230V drop, siting is often simpler than for the larger SRK units — worth confirming against what is actually available at the proposed condenser location.

Low Profile Cabinet

At 46-3/8 inches wide and only 14-1/16 inches deep, the URC-22FZ takes a narrow footprint on a roof curb or wall mount compared with the deeper SRC and SRK cabinets. The cabinet is weather-resistant and connects to the head with pre-charged refrigerant lines.
