Product Description

The Hoshizaki UR72B-D6 replaces the three doors of the standard 72-inch Steelheart® undercounter box with six stainless steel drawers — two per section. It holds 18 cubic feet of product at 33.75 inches tall, sized to live under a cook line where a swinging door would be in the way.

Six drawers instead of three doors

Drawers change how a line works. A cook pulls one pan without opening the whole cabinet to the kitchen's ambient air, which means less temperature recovery between orders and less compressor cycling across a long service. Two drawers per section also let a kitchen separate proteins, dairy and prep by drawer rather than by shelf position, which is easier to enforce during a rush.

Same cold performance as the door model

The drawer conversion does not cost efficiency. Hoshizaki still rates the UR72B-D6 at 1.12 kWh per day on 3 amps and the same R290 natural refrigerant circuit as the door-front UR72B. The cabinet is rated for food-safe temperatures in ambient conditions up to 100°F.
