Hoshizaki SRC-14J remote condenser unit for FS-1501MLJ-C icemaker

Product Description

The Hoshizaki SRC-14J is a weather-resistant remote condenser matched to the FS-1501MLJ-C remote-cooled cubelet icemaker. Mounting it outside lets the icemaker head run indoors without discharging condenser heat or fan noise into the space.

Heat and Noise Out of the Room

An air-cooled ice machine rejects every BTU it pulls out of the water straight into the room it stands in, along with the fan noise that goes with it. A remote setup sends both outside. Where an ice machine sits behind a bar, near a dining room, or in a kitchen already running warm, that is generally a requirement rather than an upgrade.

Installation Notes

The cabinet is weather-resistant for outdoor siting, and Hoshizaki specifies 24 inches of clearance front and rear so the coil can breathe. Refrigerant tubing kits are sold separately in 25, 35 and 55 foot lengths, which bounds how far the condenser can be placed from the head. Power is hardwired at the site — single phase 208-230V, four wire including ground — with no cord or plug supplied.

Model Matching

The SRC-14J is rated specifically for the FS-1501MLJ-C. Remote condensers are matched to their icemaker by capacity and charge, so substituting a different condenser will not deliver rated production.
