The Hoshizaki KMH-2100SRJZ3 is the three-phase version of Hoshizaki's largest crescent cuber, producing up to 2,026 pounds of ice per 24 hours from a 36-inch remote-cooled head. It is a modular unit and pairs with a separately purchased bin or dispenser.

Why the Three-Phase Version

Electrically this is the important difference. On 208-230V three-phase the machine draws 12.5 amps against roughly 15 amps for the single-phase KMH-2100SRJZ, and it needs only a 20-amp maximum fuse instead of 30. In a facility that already has three-phase service — most hotels, hospitals, stadiums and large production kitchens do — that means a smaller breaker, smaller conductors, and a balanced load across the panel. Output and physical size are otherwise the same class of machine.

Remote Cooling and Efficiency

The condensing unit mounts outside, so a machine making a ton of ice a day rejects none of its heat and none of its compressor noise into the building. The result is ENERGY STAR qualified operation at 3.67 kWh per 100 pounds of ice at 90°F/70°F and 15 gallons of potable water per 100 pounds — the lowest energy figure of any remote KMH-2100 variant. Double-sided KM Edge stainless steel evaporators freeze on both plate faces to keep harvest cycles short.

Ice and Storage

Ice is Hoshizaki's crescent cube: hard, dense and slow-melting, with a shape that fills a glass evenly and resists bridging in storage. No bin is included, which lets you size storage to your peak service window. Installation requires a refrigeration line set to the remote condenser and a qualified refrigeration contractor.
