The Hoshizaki KM-622MAK is the highest-output machine in Hoshizaki's 22-inch MAK slim-line range, making 673 pounds of crescent cube ice per 24 hours on R290 natural refrigerant while still running from a 115V circuit.

The combination is the point. Getting close to 700 pounds of daily production usually means either a 30-inch cabinet or a 208-230V supply, and often both. This machine needs neither: 22 inches of wall, 14.6 amps at 115V, and a 20 amp maximum fuse. For a bar, quick-service kitchen or hotel pantry that has outgrown a 500-pound head but has no room and no spare panel capacity, that is a rare specification to find.

R290 natural refrigerant

The sealed circuit carries 5.3 ounces of R290 hydrocarbon refrigerant, giving the machine a global warming potential in the single digits and keeping it outside the HFC phase-down schedules that will eventually reach R-404A equipment. It is ENERGY STAR qualified at 5.25 kWh and 17 gallons of potable water per 100 pounds of ice at 90/70 conditions.

Serviceability and ice

CleanAssist shortens the cleaning cycle to about an hour and the EverCheck alert system surfaces developing faults before they stop production. Ice is Hoshizaki's crescent cube, flat on one face and curved on the other, which packs a glass without bridging and melts slowly. This is a head only and pairs with the B-300SF and B-500SF bins and the DB-130H dispenser.
