Product Description

The Hoshizaki KM-301BAJ is the largest self-contained crescent cuber in Hoshizaki's undercounter line, making up to 290 lb of ice per 24 hours into a 100 lb built-in bin from a 30 inch wide cabinet. It covers sites that would otherwise need a modular head and a separate bin, without the extra footprint or the stacking work.

Self-contained at modular volumes

290 lb a day is production territory usually handled by a modular head sitting on a floor bin. Getting it in one cabinet matters where ceiling height is tight, where there is no room for a 22 inch tall bin under a head, or where the install has to be a single delivery and a single connection rather than a two-piece assembly.

Crescent cube ice

Crescent cubes are half-moons with one flat face. They stay loose in the bin rather than fusing into a block, so a 100 lb bin actually gives up 100 lb of usable ice, and the solid shape resists melting once it hits a glass. The bin opening is ADA compliant.

Air-cooled installation

The condenser is air-cooled, so there is no condenser water supply to run. The unit is cord-connected on a NEMA 5-15 plug with a 6.5 ft cord for a 115V 15A circuit, and needs a potable water line and a gravity drain. At 90/70 conditions it uses 7.1 kWh and 22 gallons of potable water per 100 lb of ice.
