Hoshizaki KM-1601SRJZ3 remote-cooled stackable three-phase crescent cube ice machine

Product Description

The Hoshizaki KM-1601SRJZ3 is the three-phase remote-cooled build of the 48-inch stackable Crescent Cuber, producing 1,635 pounds of ice per 24 hours. On three-phase service it draws 12.8 amps rather than the 15.9 amps its single-phase counterpart needs — often the deciding factor when a machine of this size has to be added to an existing electrical panel.

Three-phase with remote condensing

Both choices reduce load on the building. Three-phase power cuts current draw and improves efficiency; remote condensing moves the compressor and condenser outdoors so none of the machine's substantial heat rejection reaches the kitchen, no compressor noise enters the space, and the head requires no airflow clearance around it. For a 1,600-pound machine this is usually the only way to site it anywhere but a dedicated equipment room. A line set and a separately purchased remote condensing unit are required.

Stackable to over 3,000 pounds a day

The 27-3/8-inch cabinet height exists so a second identical head can be stacked directly on it, taking site output past 3,200 pounds a day on the same footprint and bin line. Crescent ice interlocks loosely rather than packing solid, so at that volume it still flows out of a bin and through a scoop instead of bridging into a mass. Bins are purchased separately, from the B-800 through the B-1650.
