Hoshizaki KM-1601MRJZ3 remote-cooled three-phase modular crescent cube ice machine

Product Description

The Hoshizaki KM-1601MRJZ3 is the three-phase remote-cooled build of the 30-inch Crescent Cuber, producing 1,653 pounds of ice per 24 hours. It is the highest-output 30-inch modular machine Hoshizaki builds — nearly 60 pounds a day more than the single-phase version, at lower current draw and lower energy per pound.

Three-phase efficiency at maximum capacity

On 208-230V three-phase service the machine draws 12.9 amps against the 15.9 amps its single-phase sibling needs, and runs at 4.09 kWh per 100 pounds. For a site already committed to a machine of this size, the three-phase configuration is the cheaper one to operate and the easier one to fit onto a loaded panel. Remote condensing then keeps all the heat rejection outdoors, so a 1,650-pound machine adds no HVAC load and no noise to the kitchen and needs no airflow clearance around the head. A line set and a separately purchased remote condensing unit complete the installation.

Crescent cube in high-volume storage

Crescent ice interlocks loosely instead of packing solid, which at this output is what keeps a bin usable — the ice pours and scoops rather than bridging into a block that has to be broken up by hand every morning. KMEdge dual-sided stainless evaporators harvest from both faces to keep the cycle short.
