Product Description

The Hoshizaki KM-1301SRJZ3 is the three-phase remote-cooled build of the 48-inch stackable Crescent Cuber, producing 1,433 pounds of ice per 24 hours. It is the most efficient configuration in the KM-1301S family: three-phase power drops the draw to 12.8 amps and energy use to 3.83 kWh per 100 pounds, earning ENERGY STAR qualification.

Three-phase and remote condensing together

Two decisions stack here. Three-phase service cuts current draw and improves efficiency over the single-phase version of the same machine. Remote condensing moves the compressor and condenser outdoors, so no condenser heat enters the room, no compressor noise reaches the space, and the head needs no ventilation clearance. Together they make 1,400-plus pounds a day practical in a building where neither the electrical room nor the kitchen has capacity to spare. A line set and a separately purchased remote condensing unit are required.

Stackable head, crescent ice

The 27-3/8-inch cabinet height exists so a second identical head can sit on top, doubling site output without additional floor. Crescent ice interlocks loosely instead of packing solid, so it pours from a bin and moves through a scoop cleanly rather than bridging into a block. Bins are purchased separately, from the B-800 through the B-1650.
