Product Description

The Hoshizaki KM-1100MAJ50 is the 50Hz export build of the 30-inch air-cooled Crescent Cuber, producing 464 kilograms of ice per 24 hours. It exists for one specific reason: sites on 220-240V 50Hz power. If the installation is on a 60Hz North American supply, this is the wrong model number — the standard KM-1100 series covers that. Ordering across that line is the most common and most expensive mistake on this SKU.

Crescent cube and why it suits high-volume service

Hoshizaki's crescent cube is hard, clear and shaped to interlock loosely rather than pack solid, so it flows out of a bin and through a scoop without bridging into a frozen mass — a real advantage at volume, where cube-shape ice tends to clump in storage. The crescent form also displaces beverage well in a glass and melts slowly, which is why the KM line is a default across bars, hotels and restaurant service wells.

Modular 30-inch head

This is a head unit: it mounts on a separately purchased Hoshizaki bin, with the factory listing the B-500 through the B-1650, so storage can be matched to the operation instead of being fixed at purchase. The cabinet measures 762 mm wide by 695 mm deep by 825 mm high and is hard-wired at site on 220-240V single phase at 11.2 amps. Because this is an export-electrical variant, confirm warranty terms with the factory before quoting — Hoshizaki does not publish the standard North American warranty against this model.
