Product Description

The HCD-500B is the 30 inch ice bagging system in Hoshizaki's HCD line, built for crescent cube ice machines and for operations that bag ice as a sideline rather than a primary business. Foot-activated operation keeps both hands on the bag.

Foot-Activated Bagging

The pedal control is the practical detail here. Bagging ice one-handed while holding a sack open is how spills and slow fills happen; a foot switch removes that entirely and makes the job repeatable by anyone on staff without training.

Insulation and Liner

The body uses foamed-in-place polyurethane insulation and a seamless polyethylene bin liner. Seamless matters for two reasons: there is nothing for ice to catch on during discharge, and there is no joint to harbour anything during cleaning. The unit is ETL Sanitation Listed.

Sizing Against the HCD-1000B

At 30 inches wide this unit takes about half the wall space of the 48 inch HCD-1000B and holds proportionally less. It suits a single-machine setup where bagged ice supplements the operation, rather than a dedicated packaged-ice business.
