Product Description

The Hoshizaki FD-1002MRJZ-C produces up to 821 pounds of cubelet ice per 24 hours from a 22-inch slim-line cabinet designed to sit directly above a dispenser or bin. Cubelet is the chewable, compressed-flake nugget that healthcare, convenience and fountain-beverage operations ask for by name — it chills fast, packs a cup efficiently and does not dilute a drink the way a fast-melting cube does.

Remote condensing keeps the heat and noise out of the room

This is the remote-cooled configuration: the condensing unit mounts outside or on the roof, and only the ice-making head sits in the service area. That matters in two ways. Condenser heat is rejected outdoors instead of into an already-warm front-of-house or patient corridor, and the compressor noise goes with it, which is why remote units are the usual answer for lobbies, nurse stations and quiet dining rooms. It also frees the head unit from the ventilation clearances an air-cooled machine demands. The tradeoff is installation: a refrigeration line set and a separately purchased remote condenser are required.

Auger production with daily automatic flushing

Cubelet is extruded and compressed continuously by an auger rather than harvested in batches, so output holds steady through a sustained draw and recovers immediately afterward. Advanced CleanCycle24 flushes the water circuit automatically each day to slow scale accumulation between full cleanings, and the greaseless bearing auger removes lubrication from the maintenance routine entirely.
