Product Description

The Hoshizaki F-801MWJ-C is the cubelet version of the 22-inch slim-line water-cooled modular head, producing up to 632 pounds of chewable nugget-style ice per 24 hours. Cubelet is compressed flake — soft enough to chew, slow to melt in a cup, and the shape that healthcare, convenience-store and fountain-beverage operators specifically ask for. This is a head unit only and mounts on a separately purchased Hoshizaki bin; the factory lists compatibility from the B-250 up through the B-1650.

Cubelet ice and why operators choose it

Unlike a plate-type cuber, the F-801MWJ-C extrudes and compresses ice continuously through an auger, so there is no batch harvest cycle and output stays level under sustained demand. The resulting nugget displaces beverage volume efficiently, chills quickly because of its high surface area, and is soft enough that chewing it will not damage teeth or blender blades. In practice that makes it the default choice for patient care, soft-drink dispensing and smoothie prep.

Water-cooled condensing and infrared bin control

Water cooling rejects condenser heat into the water circuit rather than the room, so the machine holds capacity in warm, poorly ventilated equipment areas where an air-cooled head would derate. Budget for 12 gallons of potable water per 100 pounds of ice at 90/70 conditions plus a condenser drain. Infrared bin control senses the ice level optically rather than mechanically, and Advanced CleanCycle24 automatically flushes the water system daily to slow scale accumulation between full cleanings.
