What is your Return Policy?

At Supplyza, we want every customer to shop with confidence. Here is exactly how returns work.

1. Return Window

You can request a return within 30 days of receiving your order. We are unable to accept returns after that time frame.

2. Who Arranges the Return, and Who Pays

  • We arrange every return. Contact us for a Return Merchandise Authorization and we will email you a prepaid parcel label, or — for large equipment that shipped by LTL freight — book the pickup and send you a Bill of Lading. Please do not book your own carrier or buy your own postage; we cannot reimburse shipping we did not book.
  • Damaged, defective, or the wrong item: we pay the return shipping in full, parcel or freight. No restocking fee.
  • Changed your mind: the actual return shipping cost is deducted from your refund, along with the 25% restocking fee. We quote that cost to you in writing when we issue your RMA, before anything is booked, and you can cancel the return at no cost up to that point.

3. Damaged or Defective Items

Received something broken or not working properly? Contact us within 30 days. We will arrange and pay for the return, and once the item is back and inspected we will issue either a full refund or a replacement, including any original shipping costs.

4. Freight Deliveries — Inspect Before You Sign

Large equipment is delivered by appointment and you will be asked to sign for it. Note any visible damage or shortage on the driver's delivery receipt before you sign it, photograph the crate and the item, and contact us within 1 business day. Damage you only discover after uncrating must be reported within 5 business days of delivery, because freight carriers set their own concealed-damage claim deadlines. Please call us at +1-877-731-7972 before refusing a shipment — in most cases we can resolve it faster if you accept the delivery with the damage noted.

5. Changed Your Mind?

You can return the item within 30 days as long as it is unused, in its original packaging, and in resellable condition. Freight items must go back on their original pallet or in their original crate with the bracing reinstalled. Equipment that has been installed, plumbed, wired, or put into service cannot be returned. We refund the product cost minus the 25% restocking fee and the return shipping cost.

6. Refund Processing

Once we receive and approve your return, we will send a confirmation email and issue a refund to your original payment method within 7 business days. Please allow additional time for your bank or credit card company to process it. If it has been over 10 business days since your refund was approved and you still do not see it, contact us at support@supplyza.com and we will look into it immediately.

7. Restocking Fees

Change-of-mind returns are subject to a 25% restocking fee, deducted from your refund. There is no restocking fee (0%) for defective, damaged, or incorrect items, and we cover the return shipping on those.

Product Description

The Hoshizaki F-500BAJ is a self-contained flake ice machine that drops up to 536 lb of soft, mouldable ice per day into its own 170 lb storage bin, so there is no separate bin to specify, level or plumb. At 38-1/8 inches wide it suits seafood counters, produce displays, salad bars and therapy rooms where ice has to be packed around product rather than poured into a glass.

Why flake ice

Flake is a soft, sub-cooled chip rather than a hard cube. It packs tightly around irregular shapes, holds a display face instead of melting into channels, and gives up its cold quickly because of the large surface area per pound. That makes it the default for fresh fish, shellfish and cut produce, and it scoops easily by hand. The F-500BAJ forms it with a greaseless-bearing auger, keeping bearing lubricant out of the ice path.

Air-cooled and self-contained

The condenser is air-cooled, so installation needs only a power drop, a potable water line and a drain. There is no condenser water supply to run and no remote rack to coordinate. Allow clear airflow at the intake and Hoshizaki's published service clearances when you site it.

Automatic flush

An automatic system flush purges the water reservoir on a cycle, which slows scale build-up in hard-water locations and reduces the manual cleaning needed between full descales. At the rated 90/70 conditions the machine draws 5.05 kWh and 12 gallons of potable water per 100 lb of ice.
