Hoshizaki F-422MAK-C 22 inch air-cooled modular cubelet ice machine, right side view

Product Description

The F-422MAK-C makes 476 lbs of cubelet ice per day from Hoshizaki's compact 22 inch air-cooled modular head, running R290 natural refrigerant. It replaces the discontinued F-450MAJ-C and brings nugget ice within reach of operations too small to justify the larger machines in the range.

Nugget Ice at Small-Site Volume

Chewable cubelet ice is usually associated with high-volume beverage programs, but a single-location cafe, a clinic or a small hotel does not need 800 lbs a day. At 476 lbs this machine covers a modest fountain or self-serve station without oversizing the install or the electrical.

R290 and a 2.8 oz Charge

Natural hydrocarbon refrigerant with a very low global warming potential, and a small enough charge to keep hydrocarbon handling requirements straightforward. The machine draws 8.8 amps on 115v and only needs a 15A circuit.

Advanced CleanCycle24 and Ultrasonic Bin Control

Automatic hourly cleaning under Advanced CleanCycle24, a greaseless bearing auger, and an ultrasonic bin sensor with no mechanical part in the ice stream. On nugget machines these three features are what determine whether output holds up over a year of service.
