Product Description

The Hoshizaki DCM-751BWH is a water-cooled cubelet ice maker and dispenser producing up to 782 lb of ice per 24 hours, the highest output in Hoshizaki's DCM dispenser range. It stands 34-1/16 inches wide and just over 48 inches tall, with push-button ice and water.

Water cooling at high output

The larger the machine, the more heat its condenser has to shed, and the harder that is in an enclosed servery or ward corridor. Water cooling sends that heat to the drain rather than into the room, so the machine holds its rating where an air-cooled unit of this size would be fighting its own exhaust — and the building's air conditioning is not asked to remove it afterwards. The trade is a condenser water supply and drain to plumb.

Cubelet ice

Cubelet is compressed flake ice formed into soft nuggets. It chews rather than cracks, fills a cup without air gaps so a drink takes less liquid, and picks up the flavour of the beverage around it. Those properties are why it dominates in healthcare and why customers ask for it in quick service.

Advanced CleanCycle24

Between full services the machine runs its own cleaning cycle on the ice path, which is what makes a high-throughput dispenser practical in a facility that cannot take it out of service often. At 90/70 conditions it uses 4.76 kWh and 12 gallons of potable water per 100 lb of ice. Condenser water is a separate load to size with your mechanical engineer.
