Product Description

The Hoshizaki DCM-700BAK is the largest cubelet dispenser in Hoshizaki's DCM line: 719 lb of ice per 24 hours into a 95 lb built-in bin, in a floor-standing cabinet 34-1/16 inches wide and just over 48 inches tall.

Production and reserve together

The 26 inch DCM-500BAK matches this machine on production per square foot but holds only 40 lb. The DCM-700BAK carries 95 lb, and that combination — high make rate plus deep reserve — is what a hospital ward corridor, a large cafeteria or a stadium concourse actually needs. It absorbs a wave of users and refills fast enough to be ready for the next one, rather than trading one against the other.

Cubelet ice

Cubelet is compressed flake ice formed into soft nuggets. It chews rather than cracks, packs into a cup without air pockets so a drink fills with less liquid, and takes on the flavour of the beverage around it. Patient care specifies it because patients will consume it; quick service specifies it because customers prefer it.

R290 and self-cleaning

The machine runs R290, a hydrocarbon refrigerant with very low global warming potential, on a 5.3 oz charge, drawing 11.2 amps and 4.87 kWh per 100 lb at 90/70. A self-cleaning cycle handles the ice path between full services. Air-cooled and cord-connected on a NEMA 5-15 plug with a 6 ft cord.
