Product Description

The Hoshizaki DCM-300BAK-OS is the Opti-Serve variant of Hoshizaki's 26 inch countertop cubelet machine: 343 lb of ice a day, a 40 lb built-in bin, and hands-free sensor dispensing in place of a push button.

Touch-free at volume

Sensor dispensing exists to remove the one surface everybody touches on their way to a drink. Pairing it with a 40 lb reservoir is the combination that suits a hospital cafeteria, a school servery or a corporate atrium: enough stored ice to absorb a rush of twenty people in five minutes, and nothing for those twenty people to press. It also lets someone carrying a tray fill a cup without a free hand.

Cubelet ice

Cubelet is compressed flake ice formed into soft mini nuggets. It is chewable, packs into a cup without leaving voids so a drink fills with less liquid, and takes on the flavour of what surrounds it. Those are the properties that make it the standard in patient care and the ice customers ask for by name in quick service.

R290 and self-cleaning

The machine runs R290, a hydrocarbon refrigerant with very low global warming potential, on a 4.8 oz charge, drawing 7.6 amps and 6 kWh per 100 lb at 90/70. A self-cleaning cycle maintains the ice path between full services. Air-cooled and cord-connected on a NEMA 5-15 plug with a 6 ft cord, behind a 20A breaker.
