Product Description

The Hoshizaki DB-130H is a floor-standing ice dispenser for hotel and motel guest corridors, storing 130 lb of ice and delivering it at up to 20 lb per minute through a push-button dispense area. It is 22 inches wide, so it fits the alcove depth most guest floors were built with.

Dispensed, not scooped

The difference between a dispenser and an open bin is contamination. An open bin invites guests to reach in with a hand, a room bucket or whatever else, and one guest can compromise the whole reservoir. A dispenser keeps the ice enclosed and delivers it into the container. For guest-accessible floors that is not a convenience feature, it is the reason the equipment exists.

ADA compliance and throughput

The dispensing area is ADA compliant, which is generally required on guest floors. At 20 lb per minute the DB-130H fills a standard room bucket in seconds, so a queue does not form at checkout time or after a conference session lets out.

Installation

The DB-130H is a dispenser, not an ice machine: it needs an ice source above it. The cabinet is stainless steel with a seamless liner and foamed-in-place polyurethane insulation. It is hardwired rather than cord-connected, drawing 1.4 amps at 115V with a 60 W dispensing gear motor, so allow for an electrical connection at the location.
