Product Description

The Hoshizaki CF60B is a 60-inch Steelheart® Series chef base freezer holding 12.82 cubic feet of frozen product in two stainless steel drawers, with a reinforced top built to support the cooking equipment above it. At 26 inches tall it slides into the cookline as the base of the station rather than as a separate piece of refrigeration.

Twelve Cubic Feet Under the Cookline

The extra eleven inches of width over the 49-inch model buy roughly three additional cubic feet of frozen storage. Each drawer accepts three 12" x 20" x 6" deep pans, or three 1/6 size pans at 6" deep, which is enough to hold a full service worth of portioned proteins without a mid-shift walk to the reach-in.

Right-Side Condenser

The CF60B locates its condenser on the right side of the cabinet, so that is the side requiring clearance for airflow and service. Kitchens that need the opposite orientation should specify the CF60B-L, which is the same cabinet with the condenser on the left. Getting this right at the spec stage avoids a unit that runs hot because it was installed against the wrong wall.

Natural Refrigerant Refrigeration

Cooling comes from R290 hydrocarbon refrigerant with a 2.4 oz charge. R290 carries very low global warming potential and is not subject to the regulatory phase-down squeezing synthetic HFC blends, so the platform has a long service horizon. The CF60B is ENERGY STAR® qualified and consumes 5.5 kWh per day.
