Product Description

The Cookshack PZ400 is a pellet fired pizza oven with a 16 by 16 inch stone that reaches 900 degrees and runs on a standard 120 volt 5 amp circuit.

Nine Hundred Degrees on Five Amps

The heat in this oven comes from burning wood pellets, not from electricity, so the electrical service is only what the controls and auger need: 120 volts at 5 amps, through a cord of roughly 54 inches. That is a meaningful distinction for a pizza program being added to an existing kitchen, because a deck oven reaching comparable temperatures electrically would demand a dedicated high amperage circuit and often three phase power.

A Sixteen Inch Stone and a Three Minute Pizza

The stone measures 16 by 16 inches and takes one large pizza up to 16 inches across, cooking it in about three minutes at 700 degrees. The oven reaches 700 degrees in roughly 20 minutes from cold, though Cookshack allows a full hour for the stone itself to equalize with the chamber. That distinction is worth respecting in practice, since a chamber at temperature over a cold stone produces a cooked top and a pale base.

Stackable with the PZ420 Base

The PZ400 is designed to sit on the PZ420 base unit, which is sold separately and gives a second independently fired deck. An operator can therefore start with a single oven and double output later without replacing the original equipment or resiting the installation.
