Product Description

The Cookshack FEC240 is a stainless steel pellet fired smoker oven that holds 250 pounds of pork butts across eight fixed shelves and runs on a standard 120 volt 20 amp circuit.

Double the Shelves on the Same Service

The FEC240 carries eight nickel plated 23 by 17 inch shelves for 3,128 square inches, or 21.72 square feet, of cooking area. It draws the same 120 volt, 60 hertz, single phase 20 amp service as the five shelf FEC120, so an operator moving up the line adds roughly 60 percent more cooking surface without touching the electrical panel. Pellet consumption rises to 1.5 pounds per hour at 250 degrees.

Five Inch Spacing for Taller Cuts

Shelf spacing opens to 5 inches here against 4.75 inches on the FEC120. That quarter inch sounds trivial and is not: it is the difference between a packer brisket sitting flat and one crowding the rack above it. Rated capacity is 250 pounds of pork butts, 240 pounds of brisket, 180 pounds of ribs or 60 whole chickens per load.

The Last Fixed Shelf Model in the Line

Above the FEC240 the FEC series changes format entirely, moving to rotisserie racks on the FEC300-18, FEC500 and FEC750. This is therefore the largest Fast Eddy's smoker an operator can buy that still loads like a conventional shelf oven, with a 60 pound hopper feeding it.
