Cambro MDC1520T16191 tall 16 tray meal delivery cart in Granite Gray

Product Description

The Cambro MDC1520T16 is a tall profile insulated meal delivery cart that holds sixteen 15 x 20 inch meal trays across two eight-tray compartments, finished in Granite Gray.

Two Eight-Tray Compartments in a 27-Inch Footprint

The narrow 27.25 by 27.25 inch base lets the cart move through standard corridor and elevator openings that a wider tray cart cannot clear. Each of its two compartments locks independently and holds eight trays, a configuration suited to smaller nursing units or wings where a full 20 or 30 tray load would go unused. Splitting the load into two sections also lets staff stage one compartment while the other is still loading.

One-Piece Double-Wall Polyethylene Shell with CFC-Free Foam Insulation

The double-wall polyethylene body will not rust, dent, or corrode the way a stainless or aluminum cart can after repeated washdowns, and the CFC-free foam core between the walls helps hold plated food temperature during transport. Molded-in handles and rails cut down on the metal-on-metal noise that carries through hospital and care-facility corridors during meal service.

Sizing Against the Tall 20 and 30 Tray Carts

Cambro builds this same tall-profile body in a 20-tray (MDC1520T20) and a 30-tray, three-compartment (MDC1520T30) capacity for the same 15 x 20 inch tray. The 16-tray version is the right choice for a unit that runs fewer than 20 trays per delivery; facilities running full-floor service are better served by a larger sibling than by making two trips with this cart.
