Cookshack CB024 24 inch pellet fired commercial charbroiler with cast iron grates

Product Description

The Cookshack CB024 is a pellet fired charbroiler with 480 square inches of cast iron cooking surface across a 24 by 20 inch grate area, reaching 700 degrees on its high setting.

Cast Iron Grates an Inch and a Half Thick

The grates are heavy duty cast iron at 1.5 inches thick, and that mass is the point. A thick grate holds its temperature when cold product lands on it, which is what produces a defined sear mark rather than a grey band, and it recovers between pieces without the operator waiting on the fire. Cooking area is 480 square inches, rated at 16 twelve ounce ribeyes, 20 eight ounce filets or 20 four ounce hamburgers.

Three Settings Instead of a Fire to Manage

The CB024 runs at three fixed settings, 250 degrees low, 500 medium and 700 high, fed by 100 percent food grade wood pellets. A cook sets the level and the unit maintains it, so the wood flavor comes without the labor of tending coals or a stick fire through a service. Pellet consumption runs 2 pounds per hour on low, 4 on medium and 6 on high.

The Smallest Cabinet in the Charbroiler Range

At 24 inches the CB024 carries a 40 pound hopper against 60 pounds on the CB036 and 80 on the CB048, and its 490 pound shipping weight makes it the only model in the range a smaller kitchen is likely to site without structural thought. Grate depth is 20 inches on all three models, so moving up the line buys width rather than reach.
